About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at JLM Mechanical & Electrical Ltd. As a key member of our commercial department, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer commercial contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
  • Attend site visits to ensure commercial compliance
  • Issue accurate applications and invoices in line with contract terms
  • Manage contract changes, ensuring successful commercial outcomes
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, orders, and certifications
  • Provide commercial assistance at project meetings, particularly under NEC contracts
  • Review and manage monthly WIP and Cost Value Reports
  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting of costs and revenues
  • Assist with final accounts and resolution of contractual issues
  • Commercially manage subcontractors from procurement to final account

About You:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience, ideally on-site
  • Experience with mechanical & electrical projects is a plus
  • Familiarity with JCT, NEC3, and NEC4 contracts
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
