Job Summary

Adept Resourcing Commercial & Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing a team of transactional staff and assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts for two companies, including training on financial systems and procedures.
  • Manage a purchase ledger supervisor and junior credit controller, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Reconcile inter-company accounts and train up on all aspects of month-end processes.
  • Overhaul current systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare annual budget workings and group for annual budgets.
  • Manage weekly cash flow and approve monthly payment runs.
  • Analyze P&L variances and oversee reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts, including VAT preparation and reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Hold at least Level 3 AAT qualification.
  • Have a strong solid work history and have shown longevity to previous employers.
  • Be a team player with good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Meet deadlines and be proactive in a fast-paced environment.
