We are currently seeking a Cost Management Specialist to play a pivotal role in the execution of our annual investment strategy and contribute to our long-term asset management plans.

The primary objective of this role is to oversee all financial data associated with the client's operations, from strategic planning to the evaluation of tenders. You will aim to optimize project value while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities, on behalf of the client
  • Conduct cost analysis for investment projects
  • Execute risk assessments, value engineering, and cost control measures
  • Provide guidance on procurement strategies
  • Evaluate completed works, facilitate agreements, and arrange payments
  • Oversee all valuations related to capital projects and collaborate with project leaders for reviews

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient numeracy and financial management capabilities
  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and cost management software
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
  • Insight into the construction sector, particularly within social housing
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying
