Job Overview
- This position provides a unique opportunity to assist individuals reintegrating into society after incarceration, offering guidance and support within a vibrant service aimed at fostering meaningful transformations in their lives.
- Utilizing a compassionate, recovery-focused methodology, you will be instrumental in recognizing and enhancing the strengths and choices of each individual.
- As a member of the Via team, you will benefit from a nurturing atmosphere, ongoing training, peer mentorship, and consistent supervision to excel in a forward-thinking service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Your duties will involve delivering exceptional support to individuals exiting custodial environments and pursuing assistance for substance use and associated complexities.
- Engage collaboratively with the clinical team, counselors, and other professionals to provide holistic care for service users.
- A profound understanding of the obstacles faced by individuals dealing with substance use and related health challenges is essential.
- Oversee a caseload of clients, implement interventions, and facilitate various group activities as part of the recovery journey.
- Anticipate diverse responsibilities that ensure an engaging work experience each day.
- Completion of necessary vetting processes is a prerequisite for this role.
About the Service
- This role is part of Via's innovative criminal justice service framework, contributing to the enhancement of existing service capabilities and fostering positive outcomes under a new operational contract.
- Recently assuming responsibility for Adult Drug and Alcohol Services across the region, Via offers an environment conducive to professional growth and impactful contributions.
