Job Title: Senior Security Engineer

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our Identity Site Reliability Engineering team at Sky. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in designing and deploying security detection, prevention, and monitoring technologies to protect our customers' sensitive information.

About the Role

As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll work closely with our development teams to ensure security is embedded within our workflows. You'll assist with audit and compliance assessments, manage responses to ongoing threats, and participate in the implementation of incident response best practices. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of emerging threats and ensure the security of our systems.

What You'll Do
  • Design and deploy security detection, prevention, and monitoring technologies
  • Work with development teams to ensure security is embedded within team workflows
  • Assist with audit and compliance assessments
  • Manage response to ongoing threats, operating autonomously or engaging the relevant stakeholder to keep the systems as secure as possible
  • Participate in the implementation of incident response best practices
  • Support threat hunting and incident response activities with research and analysis
  • Be part of an on-call team dealing with security investigations out of hours
What You'll Bring
  • Knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, IPS/IDS security technologies
  • Experience in providing analytical triage of alert/event data
  • Experience in scripting/coding with Python/Bash
  • Working knowledge of routing principles and networking architecture, protocols, and services
  • Ability to carefully document your work so others in the team can easily understand and build upon it
  • You're collaborative, keen to learn, and quick to adapt
