About the Role

As a Night Duty Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents. You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide exceptional care and support, promoting independence and dignity in all aspects of daily life.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, including assistance with washing, toileting, dressing, and undressing.
  • Assist residents with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained at all times.
  • Monitor residents with limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
  • Closely observe residents who may be confused or have behavioral problems.
  • Assist in promoting continence and delivering care for residents who are dying or have a progressive illness.
  • Complete written daily records as instructed and in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the framework of social activities by interacting with residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities.
  • Answer the Nurse Call System and respond accordingly.
  • Report on the well-being of residents to senior Care Staff.
  • Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by senior Staff Members.
  • Make visitors feel welcome and provide refreshments/assistance as required.
  • Ensure the security of the Nursing Home is maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Team player.
  • Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
