Job Title: Private Sector Housing Team Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to lead our Private Sector Housing Team and deliver quality services to our residents and businesses.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our housing services. As a Private Sector Housing Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of housing officers and ensuring that we meet our obligations under relevant legislation and codes of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of housing officers to deliver quality services to residents and businesses
  • Ensure that the council meets its obligations under relevant legislation and codes of practice
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the delivery of housing services
  • Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to resolve problems and improve services
  • Provide excellent customer service and build effective relationships with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Environmental Health
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of private sector housing work areas, including disabled facilities grants
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and mediation skills
  • A track record of dealing with complex cases and contributing to business process improvement
  • Experience of working in a supervisory role
