We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with experience in highway and drainage projects to join our team as a Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK regulations and standards related to highway and drainage projects and be comfortable working with various stakeholders.

Our team of versatile engineers excels in Civil, Structural, and Geoenvironmental Engineering, as well as Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage, Highways, and Planning Support. We pride ourselves on tackling diverse projects—from a mineral sands mine in Madagascar to cutting-edge renewable energy initiatives, residential developments, industrial distribution centres, and green energy projects.

The Project Engineer Role:

We require a well-rounded civil engineer with a blend of technical expertise and project management skills. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD for detailed design drawings and skilled in using drainage design software like Causeway PDS Flow and InfoDrainage. Knowledge of CIRIA guidance for sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and experience in preparing Drainage Impact Assessments, particularly in Scotland, is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare S278, S38, and S104 application packages for the adoption and maintenance of roads and drainage systems by local authorities and water companies.
  2. Design and develop detailed design drawings using AutoCAD.
  3. Use drainage design software like Causeway PDS Flow and InfoDrainage to optimize land and material use during construction.
  4. Apply CIRIA guidance for sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and prepare Drainage Impact Assessments, particularly in Scotland.
