Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rural Surveyor to join our team at The Recruitment Experts. As a key member of our property and real estate division, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of rural property management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estate and Property Management: Oversee the management of rural estates, including land management, property maintenance, and estate administration.
- Diversification and Planning: Develop and implement strategies for diversifying rural estates, including agricultural development, conservation, and renewable energy projects.
- Valuations and Taxation: Conduct valuations of rural properties and provide expert advice on taxation and succession planning.
- Landlord and Tenant: Negotiate and manage landlord and tenant agreements, including farm business tenancies, grazing licenses, and contract farming agreements.
- Advisory Services: Provide expert advice to clients on agri-environmental schemes and grants, as well as utility and infrastructure compensation claims.
- Land and Property Sales: Assist clients with the sale and acquisition of rural properties, including negotiations and due diligence.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor with at least 2 years of experience post-qualification.
- Registration: Registered Valuer and FAAV (Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers) preferred but not essential.
- Skills: Commercially astute with a strong understanding of business targets and their impact on the practice.
- Client Care: Commitment to providing an excellent standard of client care.
- IT Literacy: Proficient in using web-based case management systems.
- Communication: Pro-active and business-minded with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Travel: Full driving license and access to own vehicle.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own time and workload.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well on own and as part of a team.
- Software: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
Work Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm (1 hour lunch)
