Position Overview

We are collaborating with a public sector entity seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to enhance their legal team on a temporary basis for an initial period.

This role is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive rate of approximately £45 per hour through an umbrella company, with flexibility based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and providing counsel on a range of civil disputes, primarily related to real estate, property, or contractual issues.
  • Overseeing a personal caseload of both Claimant and Defendant cases, including representation in court proceedings and hearings as necessary.
  • Delivering specialized legal guidance and advocacy in various civil litigation matters.
  • Conducting thorough legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, along with performing case evaluations.
  • Assisting in the negotiation of settlements and exploring alternative dispute resolution options when suitable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in the public sector, preferably within local government.
  • Proven track record in managing Civil Litigation cases and disputes.

Work Schedule:

  • 37 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
