Job Overview

We're seeking a highly experienced Head of Due Diligence to lead our global due diligence team. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our company's compliance with global AML requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Craft and implement standard operating procedures for due diligence, ensuring consistency across all TerraPay group companies.
  • Ensure new customers and partners comply with regulatory standards and internal policies from the start.
  • Mitigate AML/CTF risks through effective due diligence and risk management.
  • Enhance internal controls for customer identification, verification procedures, sanctions screening, and anti-money laundering checks.
  • Develop and maintain a high standard of expertise within the team, ensuring they remain up-to-date with current developments and product/service offerings.
  • Stay current with regulatory developments, maintaining a strong working knowledge of AML/CTF regulation in all applicable jurisdictions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in AML/Compliance roles, preferably with experience performing due diligence for correspondent banking relationships and large corporate clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of global AML and due diligence standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, law, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of compliance software and tools.
