We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Nurse to join our Ampthill Community Nursing team in Mid Bedfordshire. As a Community Health Nurse - District Nursing Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of patients and provide health education to ensure optimum enablement and care.
- Lead and develop a team of skilled healthcare workers to deliver responsive and compassionate nursing services.
- Participate in strategic planning and development of services provided in the defined neighbourhood.
- Train and mentor students during placements.
- Travel throughout Bedfordshire to meet patient needs and attend meetings.
- Holds specialist practitioner qualification in District Nursing.
- Has experience of managing a caseload.
- Demonstrate evidence-based practice and up-to-date clinical skills.
- Evidence of significant post-registration nursing experience in a community setting.
- Post-registration qualification in a relevant clinical field.
- Relevant teaching/mentorship qualification and evidence of teaching skills.
- Evidence of and commitment to multiprofessional working.
- Literate in IT/Computer Skills.
- Good oral communication skills based on fluency in the English language.
- Current driving licence.
