Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Trust Doctor to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a Trust Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide SHO cover on a rotational shift basis throughout Urology and General Surgery.
  • Supervise FY1s in service delivery, inpatients, and day services.
  • Provide a rapid response to A&E to facilitate the 4 hour trolley-wait target.
  • Undertake outpatient clinics and operating theatre lists as directed by consultants.
  • Participate in Clinical Governance and Risk Assessment processes.
  • Offer a commitment to postgraduate and undergraduate General Surgery training within the hospital.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Take part in the care of patients attending the department, including examination, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Requirements:

  • Liaise with staff of other departments.
  • Maintain legible records.
  • Assist in the audit of various aspects of work under the direction of the Audit lead.
  • Recognize own limitations and seek advice from consultants in patient management.
  • Perform related duties as required, including additional duties arising from emergencies and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Other duties as directed by the Consultant in Charge.
  • Essential IT skills to support electronic patient pathway management.
