Position Overview
Secure Innovation is part of CGI's Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit, focused primarily on delivering contemporary and innovative technical solutions for government agencies' most challenging problems. Our teams work alongside clients to help them understand how to exploit technologies to maintain competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Our CGI SDI team has a strong Agile/DevOps software engineering ethos, and as a Solution Architect, you will work as part of a cross-functional team, in partnership with clients to define, guide, and assure the delivery of integrated solutions.

• Ownership of software systems with low to medium risk, size, quality, and complexity.

• Communication with business, delivery, and operational stakeholders of the software.

• Identification, prioritization, and addressing of architectural concerns related to the software, based on quality attributes (non-functional requirements) and other architectural drivers.

• Making or guiding architectural decisions about the software, its implementation technologies, its external and internal interfaces, and its development and deployment environments.

• Modelling the software system's context and structure.

• Assurance that the software fulfils its present and anticipated architectural requirements by analysis, validation, modelling, and road mapping.

• Support for the software's development and operations teams by coaching, explaining, and reviewing detailed designs and code.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Software architecting: Creating and implementing software that fits in its business and technology environment.

• Requirements analysis: Understanding and validating software requirements, focusing on quality attributes and other architectural drivers.

• Delivery: Driving realization and implementation of software and hardware systems.

• Software technology knowledge: Development stacks, programming languages, design and integration patterns, algorithms.
