About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional classroom practitioner to join our team as a Creative Media SEN Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to work with learners who are enthusiastic and keen to learn, and a dedicated and supportive staff team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Creative Media to students with special educational needs, using a mixture of different subjects to help them prepare for life after school.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with varying abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the staff team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and policies, ensuring they are inclusive and effective for all students.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of teaching students with special educational needs, ideally in a special school setting.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to focus on the progress of learners on a whole school basis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a commitment to supporting colleagues and contributing to the school's community.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
