Job Title: Commercial Planner

Baltic Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Commercial Planner to join their team. As a Commercial Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the central planning function, ensuring the efficient and effective routing of vehicles within the business.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement routing strategies to optimize vehicle utilization and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the Transport Director to ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment policies.
  • Schedule vehicles for sites and regions, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Manage driver holidays and absences, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing disruptions.
  • Provide driver briefings and de-briefings, ensuring drivers are aware of their schedules and any changes.
  • Ensure drivers receive necessary training and are available for all scheduled maintenance.
  • Produce and provide relevant reporting, including vehicle utilization and driver performance metrics.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to meet planning objectives.
Requirements:
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage the team.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team environment, resolving conflicts and issues promptly.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory, law, and compliance legislation.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide effective management reporting.
  • Level 3 supervisory management qualification (ILM or CMI).
  • Previous experience in a planning environment for a liquid fuel distributor.
