About the Role

Are you dedicated to enhancing the lives of young individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with autism or learning disabilities? Do you possess the confidence to engage with employers and foster meaningful connections? If so, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative team focused on facilitating work experience placements and paid employment for these young people.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with young adults aged 16-18, delivering essential employability and functional skills training aimed at easing their transition into work experience and ultimately securing paid positions.

The groundwork for this initiative has been laid, including established relationships with local businesses. Your typical week may involve:

  1. Reaching out to new organizations to explore opportunities for hosting young individuals for work experience or employment.
  2. Providing coverage for employment coaches and assisting learners in their preparation for work placements, which may include accompanying them as needed.
  3. Supervising a team of skills coaches who support young people during their placements.
