Consultant Interventional Radiologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join our prestigious Health Board in South Wales.

About the Role

As a Consultant Interventional Radiologist, you will be responsible for using advanced imaging technology to diagnose, monitor, and treat various conditions, diseases, and injuries. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide expert guidance and support to referring physicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use images to diagnose and treat medical conditions and diseases.
  • Offer specialist expertise and guidance to other doctors and staff.
  • Liaise with medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality treatment.
  • Elect appropriate radiology techniques for patient diagnosis and undertake minimally invasive techniques to guide and direct interventional treatments.
  • Communicate with patients and their families to explain findings and provide practical understanding.
Requirements
  • Be a GMC registered Doctor (no need to be on the Specialist Register).
  • Have relevant experience at Consultant level or references to support transition to Consultant level.
  • Pass an enhanced background check (DBS) and supply suitable references.
