Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, this role is integral to the P&C leadership team and is responsible for overseeing Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) initiatives.

As the Head of ED&I at Ofcom, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our practices as an employer promote and celebrate equality, diversity, and inclusion.

We take pride in our leading ED&I efforts at Ofcom, collaborating with our senior management team, employee networks, and colleagues to foster a genuinely inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing activities, managing budgets, and allocating resources to ensure the successful implementation of our strategy.
  • Creating and executing ED&I initiatives that exceed legal compliance, striving for best practices and positioning Ofcom as an employer of choice for all.
  • Staying informed about relevant equality, diversity, and inclusion legislation.
  • Continuing to embed our social model of disability.

Coaching and Upskilling:

Working alongside the People Data Insights team to provide regular updates and reports, delivering clear and comprehensible data, analysis, and narratives.

Providing strong support and collaborative efforts with our colleague networks, championing their initiatives, and offering guidance, expertise, and mentorship.

Leading the ED&I team, offering pastoral care, well-being support, and career development opportunities.

Collaborating with all colleagues in P&C to deliver continuous service, ensuring high quality and a robust customer service approach.

Building Solutions:

Possessing a strong understanding of the power of data to inform strategy.

Demonstrating effective team management skills to ensure high-quality output, career development, and pastoral care for all team members.
