We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Officer to join our team at Joseph Hughes Associates. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for a range of finance tasks, financial reporting, and ensuring legal compliance.
Main Responsibilities- Financial Transactions: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconcile transactions, and manage banking activities.
- Payroll and Expenses: Prepare and manage payroll, process employee expenses, and administer pension contributions.
- Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders, including financial reports and analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar role, or MAAT, AAT level 4 qualification, or above, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Online Book-keeping and Payroll Systems: Experience of using online book-keeping and payroll systems.
- Sage Payroll and Accounting Software: Experience of using Sage payroll and accounting software.
