Job Summary:
Randstad Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in Durham. As a dedicated professional, you will work closely with the Children Looked After (CLA) Team 5 to provide exceptional support to vulnerable children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of looked-after children, ensuring their care plans are effectively implemented and reviewed regularly.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, carers, and families to support their emotional and social development.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and other professionals to coordinate services and resources.
- Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and looked-after children.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in a social work role, particularly working with looked-after children or within a children's social care service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, carers, and professionals.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and child protection.
