Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Class 2 driver to join our team at W P Recruitment & HR Ltd. as a Ro-Ro Driver.

This is a temporary ongoing position with an immediate start, and the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

As a Ro-Ro Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing daily vehicle and plant checks, logging faults on the system and reporting defects to the workshop.
  • Collecting and returning containers to and from household waste recycling centres and waste treatment plants.
  • Operating plant equipment.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid HGV Class 2 licence.
  • A CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
  • A tachograph card.
  • Previous Ro-Ro experience is an advantage, but newly passed HGV drivers will also be considered.
  • A good understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to use computerized systems.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £14.03 per hour.
