Join Our Life Sciences Team

At Jameson Legal, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced solicitor to join our life sciences team. As a key player in the commercial sector, our client is looking to grow their team with the addition of a 2-6 PQE solicitor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and Reviewing Complex Agreements: You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and advising on a wide range of complex IP agreements, biopharma partnering arrangements, and other commercial contracts in the life science and healthcare sectors.
  • Client Interaction: You will work closely with clients, including multinational companies, investors, and venture-backed early and growth stage companies, to support their growth and patient outcomes.
  • Opportunities in Deeptech and Neighbouring Fields: Depending on your experience, you will have opportunities to work in the deeptech sector, including semiconductors, fusion, and other energy generation tech, as well as in neighbouring fields such as cleantech, defence tech, and space tech.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Academics: A STEM undergraduate degree in a technical area is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Qualified Solicitor: You must be a qualified solicitor with 2-6 PQE and relevant legal experience gained from a top-tier UK or international practice.
  • Life Sciences Experience: Prior experience in a well-regarded life sciences team, advising clients within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or medtech industries, is essential.
  • Strong IP Background: You must have a strong IP background with transactional/commercial deal experience, including the ability to advise on complex licensing deals and commercial arrangements.
  • Excellent Contract Experience: You must have excellent prior experience of advising, drafting, and reviewing contracts and agreements.
