Exciting Opportunity for a Dental Clinical Supervisor

We are pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for a Dental Clinical Supervisor to support a first-of-its-kind training scheme in collaboration with the NHS ICB teams.

As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be working from our training practice in Ludlow, supporting 2 overseas qualified Dentists in obtaining their NHS performer numbers. This role is ideally suited for colleagues wishing to reduce their direct clinical commitments and support teaching and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and support to overseas qualified dentists in a general dental practice environment.
  • Liaise with the mydentist clinical team about the progress and abilities of the Dentists.
  • Attend training or meetings as required by mydentist.
  • Assess and grade the treatment provided and professionalism of the Dentists.
  • Maintain skills, competencies, and required continued professional development.
  • Liaise with the practice manager for the satisfactory integration of Dentists into the practice.
  • Provide pastoral support to the dental students and report any issues arising.

Requirements:

  • Full GDC registration as a Dentist or specialist and active NHS performer number.
  • Minimum 4 years post-qualification UK experience as a general dentist with an unconditional performer number.
  • Previous experience in teaching or mentoring is desirable.
