Principal Hydraulic Modeller (Urban Drainage)

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Hydraulic Modeller to contribute to our projects within the water and wastewater sector. Our organization is dedicated to delivering comprehensive infrastructure solutions, focusing on drainage design and effective surface water management for a diverse clientele, including municipal authorities and private developers.

  • Location: Pertemps Bristol Industrial
  • Position: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives for storm overflow discharge reduction and flood management projects
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and validation of hydraulic models
  • Formulate strategies for wastewater catchment and provide innovative solutions
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance
  • Manage project timelines and assist project managers in execution
  • Support tender submissions and provide accurate fee estimates
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their professional capabilities
  • Drive technical advancements and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Degree or relevant vocational qualification in a related field
  • Proven experience in urban drainage modeling, particularly with ICM software
  • Strong understanding of the UK Water Industry and associated regulatory frameworks
  • Expertise in hydraulic modeling and the development of effective solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating projects successfully
  • Familiarity with InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange software
  • Proficient in MS 365 applications, including PowerBI and SharePoint
