Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our client's close-knit team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including PPM, reactive, and predictive maintenance, to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Work on high-speed production, processing, and packaging machinery, including conveyors, silos, blowers, steam and boiler systems, industrial control systems, dryers, robotics, chillers, air systems, and automation and control systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, including PLCs, electrical fault finding, and circuit analysis.
  • Manage stores and spare parts, utilizing Maximo asset care management systems.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure effective equipment operation and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • Multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias.
  • Completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship with formal qualifications.
  • Ideal candidate will have HNC qualifications.
  • Ability to react to breakdowns effectively, safely, and efficiently.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities.
  • Experience working in FMCG, fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC electrical fault finding skills, and 17th or 18th Edition certification.
  • Self-motivated, team player with strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and a driven character.
  • Ability to work independently, sometimes unsupervised.
  • Good IT skills, including SAP proficiency.
