Private Chef Opportunity

Part TimeWe are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic part-time Private Chef to cater for a family of 3 at their home in Central London, cooking 4 to 5 evening meals a week.

Menus are simple, fresh, and healthy, with a focus on Italian, Mediterranean, Asian, and Modern British cuisine. The family enjoys occasional dinner parties and family events, and the kitchen is open plan, requiring a clean-as-you-go tidy work ethic.

You will be expected to plan meals with the principal and do the food shop. Strong all-round kitchen skills, including baking, are essential, as well as comfort working in a domestic environment with children and pets. The ideal candidate will have several years' experience working in the private sector with appropriate professional qualifications and excellent references.

Although you will be working in an informal family environment, professional behavior is required at all times. Interviews will include a cooking trial, and this position is subject to a full DBS check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare healthy, delicious meals for the family
  • Cook 4 to 5 evening meals a week, with occasional dinner parties and family events
  • Manage the kitchen, ensuring a clean and tidy environment
  • Work collaboratively with the family to plan meals and shop for ingredients
  • Develop and maintain a high level of culinary expertise

Requirements:

  • Several years' experience working in the private sector
  • Appropriate professional qualifications and excellent references
  • Strong all-round kitchen skills, including baking
  • Comfort working in a domestic environment with children and pets
  • Professional behavior at all times
