As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex needs, providing individualized care and nurturing a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or group basis, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring the child's needs are met.
  • Utilize training and experience in Team Teach, Moving and Handling, PECS, or Makaton to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop strong interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Take initiative in identifying and addressing the child's needs, ensuring their well-being and safety.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide professional references covering the past 2 years.
  • Commit to meeting Prospero Teaching's rigorous compliance requirements.
