We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Facilities Manager to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a team of 28 individuals and working closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility and a positive can-do attitude. The ideal candidate will be highly visible, accessible, and responsive, with excellent communication, management, and leadership skills.
Main Responsibilities- Lead by example and demonstrate a positive attitude in all aspects of the role.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all stakeholders are satisfied with the facilities management services.
- Manage staff and budgets effectively, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and quality.
- Collaborate with other teams and specialist advisors to ensure that facilities management services are aligned with the Trust's overall objectives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and fire safety procedures.
- Provide support and guidance to staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Significant recent experience in a comparable role, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Excellent communication, management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Ability to work independently within their sphere of authority.
- Confident in the use of a range of computer systems.
- Keen to take responsibility for health and safety and fire prevention within their service area.
