About the Role
Care UK is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, while also leading and supervising your shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise your shift, ensuring that care is delivered to the highest standards.
- Case manage residents and liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to create and deliver effective care plans.
- Administer and record medication, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Work closely with care assistants to support residents with daily needs, promoting independence and well-being.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and improve services, ensuring that they meet the needs of our residents.
- Provide a professional and inclusive approach at all times, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent experience.
- Excellent organizational and IT skills, with the ability to allocate and delegate work effectively.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise others, with a strong focus on teamwork and communication.
- A good understanding of care planning processes and the ability to create effective care plans.
- Experience in administering medication or a willingness to undertake training.
- A passion for delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
