Department Overview
The Department of Biology at the University of Oxford is at the forefront of research in the field of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Position Summary
This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the prestigious Ineos-Oxford Institute (IOI) for AMR Research. As a member of the Sheppard Lab and the PubMLST development team, you will engage in the analysis of extensive bacterial genome datasets, aiming to elucidate the epidemiology and evolutionary dynamics of AMR in critical pathogens.

Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary within Grade x, scale point y (£x–£y), complemented by an Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per annum (pro rata). This weighting will be integrated into the starting salary and is subject to annual inflationary adjustments as negotiated by UCEA.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong independent research capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with peers in the Sheppard Lab and the IOI. Excellent communication skills are essential for writing publications, presenting research findings, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
