Job Title: Property Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Solicitor to join our Litigation Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. As a Property Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a range of Probate Litigation cases, including ADR/mediation, banking and financial disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, breach of contract disputes, civil fraud, commercial property/company disputes, debt recovery and enforcement claims, intellectual property infringement disputes, and interim applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Property Litigation, with experience in private practice. You will be a committed team player, with excellent client care skills and the ability to deal with client matters in a sensitive manner. You will also have excellent networking and communication skills, with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business.

We are looking for a Property Solicitor who is proactive, with a strong analytical and organizational skills. You will have the ability to use your own initiative and sound judgment, with a working knowledge of the publicly funded Litigation work and the ability to service privately funded cases. Experience in own advocacy is an advantage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reporting directly to the Department Director
  • Handling all aspects of Litigation work, including casework and advocacy
  • Managing a range of Probate Litigation cases, including ADR/mediation, banking and financial disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, breach of contract disputes, civil fraud, commercial property/company disputes, debt recovery and enforcement claims, intellectual property infringement disputes, and interim applications
  • Assisting with casework, including dealing with correspondence and maintaining accurate time costing procedures
  • Implementing recommendations made by the supervisor following monthly file reviews
  • Ensuring compliance with file management
