About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Advisory Supervisor to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our Advisory team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of financial crime compliance engagements across our portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of our financial crime offering and working methods
  • Support the delivery of independent reviews by assessing and evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of clients' current financial crime compliance framework against regulatory requirements and expectations
  • Conduct reviews of governance and oversight arrangements, risk management, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and training
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and mitigate financial crime risks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Good experience in financial crime compliance from another consultancy
  • Passionate about supporting clients with their financial crime frameworks to support the mitigation of financial crime risk
  • Sound knowledge of some of the team's strategic sectors (financial services, betting and gaming, real estate, crypto, and legal) and the inherent financial crime risks
  • A genuine interest in expanding knowledge and skillset into broader sectors and projects
  • Experience of concurrent projects and deadlines, prioritizing work and delivery
  • Experience of writing detailed reports, with clear, concise, cohesive, and rational assessments, adapting the tone and style based on the recipient(s)
  • Ability to investigate and resolve problems with some support, get guidance, and escalate
  • Aware of quality risk management
