Management Accountant Assistant

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established property and manufacturing business based near the Birmingham Airport, as an Assistant Management Accountant.
This role will involve a range of tasks and will require close collaboration with the Senior Management Accountant within the business.
This is a temporary to permanent position, and we are looking for immediately available individuals with 2-3 years of experience in finance who are seeking their next career step.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy.
- Processing invoices and managing financial transactions.
- Assisting with preparing management accounts packs and providing financial insights.
- Preparing balance sheets with commentary and analyzing financial performance.
- Investigating differences between budget and actuals, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Assisting with preparing quarterly forecasts and contributing to financial planning.
- Participating in month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Assisting with financial audits and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
- Liaising with various departments to ensure accurate financial information and supporting business decisions.
- Previous experience in finance, ideally 2-3 years.
- Exposure to both purchase ledger and sales ledger, with a strong understanding of financial processes.
- A willingness to take on new challenges and a proactive approach to learning and development.
- A desire to study towards a relevant qualification, such as CIMA, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Immediate availability or a short notice period.
