Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Identifying and reporting vehicle or component defects or signs of potential failure.
- Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and providing detailed reports on their condition, safety, reliability, and performance (MOT).
- Ensuring all vehicles under repair are protected from damage and inspecting them for cleanliness upon completion.
- Participating in recognized training courses as required and assisting in the training of apprentices when assigned.
- Seeking authorization before fitting parts to customer vehicles and ensuring the return of parts for warranty and inspection.
- Completing all service and maintenance documentation, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork, and electronic records accurately.
The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, with alternate Saturday mornings from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will possess:
- A minimum Level 2 City and Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Repair.
- Experience in diagnostics and computer usage.
- An MOT License.
- A full UK driving license.
- A proactive, right-first-time approach.
- A strong team-oriented mindset.
- The ability to maintain high standards of work.
- Effective communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and grow professionally.
