About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join our team at Altrad Sparrows. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the delivery of safe and effective cable and pipelay system projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support, supervision, and mentoring to onshore support teams and site-based technicians in relation to operations and maintenance activities.
  • Support the operations and maintenance of cable and pipelay systems to the highest standards, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Set standards and expectations for project planning, project controls, and engineering teams, as well as site-based technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to business development teams, project controls, and engineering teams, workshop, and site-based technicians.
  • Lead by example, adopting a continuous improvement attitude towards operations and maintenance execution and delivery.
  • Complete operations and maintenance audits across the fleet of equipment and sites to witness and confirm standards are being met.
  • Lead After Action Reviews (AARs) and Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) to ensure lessons learned are captured and recurrence is mitigated.
  • Identify training needs of workshop and site-based technicians to enhance their skill set.
  • Interface with internal discipline support teams and the wider Sparrows organization to deliver a comprehensive Cable and Pipe Lay System service.
  • Interface with internal and external clients to ensure a professional service is provided in a timely fashion.
Requirements
  • Suitable cable and pipelay systems experience to support the role requirements.
  • Adequate onshore engineering experience to support the role requirements.
