Electronics Design and Development Engineer

Job Summary:

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Electronics Design and Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and development of electronics and PCBs for our company's product range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop digital and analogue electronics, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Maintain the functionality of legacy products, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Select electronics and auxiliaries to meet customer requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of electronics design, including digital, analogue, power, and high-temperature electronics.
  • Good familiarity with signal conditioning and embedded microcontroller use.
  • Experience with bare metal low-level code for simple applications and digital protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, and CAN.
  • Comfortable with a wide range of activities from PCB design to prototype manufacture, including design testing, verification, and validation of hardware and software.
  • Cost and quality management skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Embedded C, Assembly, and Embedded C++ programming knowledge.
  • PLC/SCADA programming experience.
  • General electrical and electronic diagnostic experience.
  • Electrical wiring familiarity, including industrial motor wiring and UL/CSA safety and CE approvals.

Competitive salary up to £45,000 DOE and a dynamic work environment.
