New Product Introduction Engineer

We are seeking an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to join our innovative process engineering team at Siemens Healthineers. As an NPI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing for manufacture and design transfer to manufacture of products and processes for our superconducting magnets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Influence product design to improve design for assembly (DFA) and optimize labor content
  • Design manufacturing processes from concept to production, ensuring parts and materials are fit for both purpose and efficient manufacture with high yield
  • Develop and implement new processes and manufacturing equipment to enable our new product and continuous improvement agendas
  • Work closely with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to ensure final product designs are suitable for volume manufacture
  • Implement robust feedback mechanisms between departments and communicate lessons learned once products are in production
Requirements:
  • A degree in Engineering, Science, manufacturing, or a related subject, or equivalent experience
  • Substantial and varied technical experience in manufacturing and process engineering
  • Experience in taking the lead on NPI projects
