This document outlines the role of a Supplier Quality Control Engineer.

The individual in this position will primarily focus on overseeing and addressing any discrepancies related to products received from suppliers.

Our client is a well-established and respected organization in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact between operations and quality control regarding supplier-related quality issues.
  • Examine quality assurance challenges, ascertain accountability, and generate non-conformance reports for suppliers.
  • Engage with suppliers to ensure thorough root cause analysis is performed using suitable problem-solving methodologies.
  • Guarantee that all Stock on Hand (SOH) is properly categorized, sorted, and isolated for products that do not conform to standards. Non-conforming items are to be returned to suppliers at their cost.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board process, which includes evaluating product fitness-for-use and determining product disposition.
  • Assist in the Rework Approval, Concession, and Change Notification processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the purchasing department to validate initial parts for new products and support supplier evaluations and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Prior experience in Supplier Quality Assurance is preferred.
  • Experience in the engineering field is advantageous.
