Job Description

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is proud to be retained by our industry-leading client, Metlen, who are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to operate across their solar sites in the UK.

**Temporary Accommodation Provided**

As the candidate moves from site to site, temporary accommodation will be covered.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Perform daily inspections and tests to ensure the quality of construction meets the required standards.
* Conduct inspections and checking for all quality-related procedures on site, ensuring activities align with approved method statements and inspection test plans.
* Coordinate with customer representatives and technical supervision for inspections and conduct meetings about quality problems, including the closure of Non-Conformity Reports.
* Manage QA/QC documents for the entire project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-conformity reports, and site instructions/observations.
* Verify subcontractor compliance to quality procedures.
* Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system.
* Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors.
* Ensure all technical documents relative to site quality control are updated.

**Requirements**

* University Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering.
* Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
* Minimum 5 years working experience.
* Knowledge of local legislation.
