The Ground Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing all ground handling activities related to airside helicopter operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties and responsibilities of the Ground Operations Specialist include:
- Assisting with aircraft startups
- Supporting the refueling of helicopters
- Conducting daily equipment inspections
- Performing ramp and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) checks
- Providing engineering support as needed, including component cleaning and lubrication
- Facilitating the movement and towing of aircraft
- Maintaining the internal and external appearance of aircraft
- Carrying out general hangar and ramp tasks
- Loading and unloading passenger luggage and freight
- Executing any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader
- Familiarizing oneself with all aspects of company policies
- Promoting the values of the organization
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in aviation and relevant operational roles is preferred
- Proficiency in English, including understanding, speaking, and writing
- Physical fitness to lift weights up to 25kg
- This position is based in Aberdeen and requires a commitment of 5 days a week, with potential weekend work
- Flexibility to adapt working hours in response to unforeseen external factors such as weather conditions or technical issues
