Join Our Team as an Early Childhood Education Lecturer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Education Lecturer to join our academic team at New Zealand Tertiary College. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating lessons to students undertaking their Postgraduate/Bachelor's/Graduate Diploma studies in ECE.

About the Role

This is a multifaceted role, including tutoring, mentoring, lecturing, and supporting students throughout their early childhood teacher education studies. You will have the opportunity to grow within the organization and contribute to the development of high-quality education programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate lessons to students undertaking their Postgraduate/Bachelor's/Graduate Diploma studies in ECE
  • Support students via online discussion forums
  • Conduct field visits to observe students carrying out their placements
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification at postgraduate level in early childhood education or a related discipline
  • Experience in teaching and/or mentoring adults
  • A passion for increasing quality care and education in the early childhood sector in Aotearoa/New Zealand
