Job Description

School of Science

Full Time - Open Ended

The School of Science is seeking a highly motivated individual to deliver excellent customer service and manage the day-to-day administration of postgraduate research/PhDs. This includes PGR recruitment, administration, and progression processes within the School, including studentships, grant, and fellowship applications.

Candidates should possess a strong commitment to providing an outstanding service, be quick to learn and adapt in a changing environment, and manage complex workloads. The ability to work flexibly, embed compliance/regulatory changes, and develop appropriate procedures is essential. Excellent practical IT skills and the ability to work independently are crucial aspects of the role.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues from the Doctoral College Office, the School's Associate Dean for Research and Innovation, and the Director of Doctoral Programmes to deliver excellent customer service and manage the day-to-day administration of the School's provision of postgraduate research/PhDs.

Applications for job-share and flexible working arrangements are welcomed and will be considered in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service to postgraduate research students and staff
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of postgraduate research/PhDs, including PGR recruitment, administration, and progression processes
