This position places you at the forefront of a transformative initiative within Sainsbury's. Your insights and analyses will shape pivotal decisions related to the extensive "Next Level Sainsbury's" strategy, providing you with the opportunity to engage with senior leaders across various departments within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a Macro Space transformation program across Food categories to effectively implement corporate strategies.
- Oversee analytical processes for key initiatives affecting Food space, including Space Optimization Programs and New Format Development.
- Act as the primary space liaison for trading teams, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to drive sales, volume, and profit enhancements.
- Partner with internal and external teams to contribute strategic insights for the advancement of our innovative tools and models.
- Engage with a wide array of teams to secure support for these models, including Strategy, Trading, Finance, Retail, and Property.
- Continuously assess store and category performance to identify opportunities for improved space utilization.
- Strong understanding of the commercial and grocery market landscape.
- Proficient in data analysis and manipulation, with a focus on identifying key issues.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities, including prioritization and adaptability to change, with a track record of validating project outcomes.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, presenting a clear perspective.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on building a robust network across the organization.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
