ICT Support Technician, Band 4 (Fixed Term)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic ICT Support Technician to join our team, responsible for delivering effective technical assistance to resolve ICT support inquiries.

This position is a fixed-term contract, and the successful candidate will be expected to travel across various sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses the installation of user hardware and software, along with the deployment of ICT systems.

Additionally, the technician will be responsible for the timely maintenance of technical documentation and asset management systems utilized by the team.

Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, as interactions will occur with staff across all levels of the Trust's Corporate and Clinical Services.

A comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, all Windows Desktop platforms including Microsoft 365, and an in-depth familiarity with the MS Office suite of products is essential.

Essential Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above
  • Significant hands-on experience in first and second line technical support

Knowledge & Skills

Essential Requirements

  • Up-to-date knowledge of PC hardware.
  • Proficient understanding of all Windows Desktop platforms, including Windows 365, and a thorough knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Trust staff on both technical and non-technical matters.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN concepts.
  • Understanding of internet and intranet concepts.
