About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering parcels to customers across the region, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver parcels to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Use route-planning technology tools to optimize delivery routes and ensure parcels are delivered to the right place at the right time
  • Prep your van and workload for the day, ensuring you are ready to hit the road and deliver
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve delivery targets

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, paid monthly, with an hourly rate of £12.54p/hr. Overtime is paid at 1.25 x the normal hourly rate. You will also receive 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (pro-rata), and full uniform provided. We also offer a company pension scheme with competitive contribution rates, and lots of opportunity to develop a career, including our trainee manager roles and Apprentice Schemes.

About You

We are looking for someone who is upbeat, self-motivated, and thrives while working independently. You should be organized, punctual, and have great initiative. You should also be committed to delivering great customer service, comfortable interacting with customers, and happy to work in the afternoon and early evenings.

Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
