Adele Carr Financial Recruitment Limited is excited to partner with a charitable organization seeking to enhance their finance team.
This full-time, permanent role requires a qualified professional (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with a background in Management Accounting, looking for a position that offers diverse responsibilities and opportunities for growth.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Finance Director and the broader finance team, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and board members. The ideal candidate will have a solid history of preparing management accounts and year-end financial statements within the charity sector.
The successful applicant will excel in fostering relationships with non-financial managers, serving as the primary finance resource within the organization.
Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that financial processes and controls are effective and appropriate, while also driving continuous improvement and value addition.
Looking ahead, the hiring manager is focused on succession planning, anticipating that this individual will evolve and advance within the organization.
Familiarity with Gift Aid and SORP accounting is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.
Applicants with experience in the third sector, public sector, or NHS are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Finance Director and senior stakeholders with financial reporting and analytical tasks.
- Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts and reports.
- Manage month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Assist with year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors for a smooth audit process.
- Engage in business partnering to support the wider team.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

- Be proactive, self-motivated, and diligent.
- Have proficiency in MS Excel (including pivots and look-ups).
