Geriatric Medicine Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Geriatric Medicine to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Frailty Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our elderly patients.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement pathways for frailty services, including reactive and proactive care across acute and community settings.
- Provide clinical leadership and advice to the multidisciplinary team, including GPs, specialty doctors, trainees, ACPs, PAs, nurses, and therapists.
- Supervise and teach trainees and medical students, as well as nursing and allied health professionals.
- Drive forward developments to improve the quality of care delivered to patients, with a focus on maximizing independence and supporting return to usual place of residence.
- Relevant UK and NHS experience in Geriatric and General Internal Medicine.
- Full GMC registration and CCT, or within 6 months of obtaining CCT.
- Ability to contribute to change management and apply research findings to clinical problems.
- Experience of working within a community geriatrics service and leading a multidisciplinary team.
- Comprehensive experience in managing patients with all aspects of geriatric and general medical problems.
