About the Role:

EPC Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Turn Machinist to join our client's manufacturing team in Oxfordshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC Mill-Turn machines to meet the company's high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC Mill-Turn machines to achieve exceptional quality and productivity.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure accurate programming and manufacturing.
  • Creating layout sheets to document tooling, tools, set-ups, and machine parameters for repeatable results.
  • Working independently to achieve high standards and deadlines, with the ability to qualify and document own work using various measuring equipment.
  • Supporting and training colleagues to improve team performance.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized workplace, adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and suggesting time/cost-saving ideas to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in CNC machining.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience programming and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in advanced Fanuc (ISO) and experience with Doosan, Matsuura, and Mazak machines.
  • Overhead crane training and manual handling experience beneficial, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong work ethic and focus on quality and productivity.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing business environment.
