About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Software Engineer to join our Core Quant team at Anson McCade, a leading global alternative investment fund manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, performant, and supportable software applications that integrate mathematical models built by our Quant team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with our Investment desk, Quant sub-teams, Economic Research, Risk, Operations, and Investment Control to understand business needs and opportunities.
  • Design and Develop Solutions: Design, build, and maintain software solutions using C# (and other relevant languages) to the highest design, testing, and operational standards.
  • Review and Improve: Review the development work of colleagues and investigate day-to-day quantitative issues to improve our systems and processes.
  • Integrate Analytics Models: Assist Quants with the integration of new analytics models into our quant platform.
  • Drive Technical Excellence: Challenge current systems, processes, and delivery approach to achieve common goals through technical excellence and innovation.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum 2.1 in a numerate degree from a Russell Group University.
  • Software Engineering Skills: Excellent software engineering skills, experience designing and implementing APIs, strong understanding of object-oriented and functional design patterns, distributed system design, concurrent and asynchronous programming.
  • C# and.NET Expertise: Expertise in C# and.NET or the ambition and aptitude to become an expert quickly.
  • Desirable Skills: Financial markets experience, familiarity with concepts of financial pricing and risk, programming experience in a diverse set of languages/platforms, expertise in relational database design, and confidence in writing and maintaining SQL.
